Kuhn - Raw FREE 320, CRITICISM PLZ
New tune up on http://soundcloud.com/kuhn-1 called "Raw."
For my dubstep tracks, I use Reason and Ableton. For this tune, I used my vocals, a lead synth I found in a Reason refill that I'm sure Joker has used on several of his tracks, and four different bass sounds: two that I designed in Reason, and two made with Massive.
There's also some ambient noise on the track from Morocco: I had a handheld digital recorder with me when I traveled there two months ago. I don't know how much it adds sonically to the song, but there's something personally significant about adding the voices of strangers I passed on the streets of Fez to a tune I made here on Long Island that somehow fits into the culture of a distant country (England) and city (Bristol) that I've never even been to.
I'm an outsider to dubstep like I was an outside in Morocco, I guess.
This is the first track I've allowed to be released. There are lots more. Please give me criticism.
The 320 is available for download on my Soundcloud.
Let me know if you want to hear some unreleased tunes: bennett.kuhn@gmail.com
PEACE and THANKS
