Thought I'd ask in production section cuz most people i knw whu seem to dislike them 4 doing dubstep are producers.
Quick Question - besides them using a preset (wich most producers do anyways ie. maniac, skeamz etc. cant think of no dubstep atm cuz am in a rush to head out lol) what do people actually not like about them?
Their great D&B producers and catchy dubstep producers!

They have no ambition musically, just financially from the sounds of their music. They aren't pushing anything new, you could say other dubstep producers are making similar stuff to what they always have but say Skream, he's been on it from day one and as well as doing similar soudning stuff to previous tunes he's made, he also pushes the boundaries and experiments a lot.
Chase and Status came in when it started becoming popular, made the same sounding stuff as what was about and made a name off it. This is a pop music/business attitude and approach, a lot of people into underground music are against that because it;s the opposite of underground and not putting the music first, it's using the music as a financial tool.
they lack creativity.

Well for what it's worth, some of their first tunes from 2002 or so were dubstep, before they starting releasing dnb. It was way different sounding though obviously being 7 or 8 years ago. They were some good tunes too.
I don't hate on them, they certainly have their place. I don't know their motives behind making tunes for rhianna so I won't judge but from what i've read it's not exactly dubstep and it's not exactly "pop". Their Jayz remix was pretty good IMO. I liked it more than the snoop dog one, which is kind of dissapointing to me because I never liked jayz, but snoop is a don.

I don't have anything against them personally, but I feel like their music misses the point of dubstep entirely (or at least what it means to me), but removing all of the swing, atmosphere, and well, dubbiness out of the music and making it this stiff, maximalist wall of sound. This is why I lost interest in dnb, and seeing it happen to dubstep by people who come off like capitalists instead of those who truly care about the aesthetics of the music is just kind of depressing.
I'm also a live and let live kinda guy, so they can do what they want as long as they're happy. I'll continue to complain about it, but I don't hold anything against them personally; after all, it's not like they're the only ones doing it.

Hmm, i mean listening to stuff like trg, 2562, mala, digital mystikz, skull disco, ramadanman, stuff like that and the more dub influenced dubstep stuff there stuff is boring, and not worth a listen in my point of view.
