Sileni "Twitchy Droid Leg Remixes Part 2" ft. Martsman and Vex'd
"A truly devastaing piece of work... you simply would not notice armageddon with this playing on headphones..." Mary Anne Hobbs
Praised by all for its appearance on Clever’s “Troubled Waters” mix CD, “Twitchy Droid Leg” is the most talked about track in Offshore history. In celebration of that, we are releasing a two part remix series by today’s most interesting electronic music producers.
Part 2 features Martsman and Vex’d. Martsman made his Offshore debut on the second installment of the Commercial Suicide Split Series. Listeners who thought that “Ago” was spastic and itchy, will be astounded by this remix; a single listen will not do this track justice. Notable for idiosyncratic edits, Martsman seeks to bend the listener’s ear and mind. Come to think of it, we should have called this the “Fit for a Straight Jacket Mix”.
Vex’d strip down the original to craft this post apocalyptic Dubstep soundtrack. Snippets of the source and cinematic string work are craftily laid over punishing drums and window rattling bass. In true Vex’d fashion, this remix would make Trent Reznor weep. It also found a place in Mary-Anne Hobbs’ heart, as she designated this as the “Breezeblock Bomb” on Radio 1 on August 1st, 2006 and was featured on Clever's Science Faction Dubstep mix released this fall on BBS!
