ableton live (probably applies to all daws..) midi on/off Q

Post by benh » Sun Sep 06, 2009 12:22 am

So, i have a knob in ableton live assigned to a knob on my midi controller. I am wondering if there is some way i can also assign a button to ''on/off'' the knob so i can easily turn it off when i want to drop my next clip.

I cant simply twist the knob to the far left because the middle (12 oclock) is the default.

thanks for any help

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to achieve, but if you click the key button in the top right hand corner, you should be able to assign a key to a parameter, then in the top left will be that assignment, with its minimum and maximum values. Keys jump from one to the other, so see if you can assign the min and max to what you want.

Hope this helps...
