Awful tunes in the Dubs section...

Post by adam_misst » Mon Sep 07, 2009 11:04 pm

Has anyone noticed that so many awful tunes in the Dubs section of this forum have countless people asking for 320's?
Who are these people?
Where did they come from?
What happened to quality?
Don't get me wrong, there are some gems to be found for sure...but the majority of tunes on there compared to a couple of years ago are terrible...anyone agree?! Just something I've noticed, not having a dig or anything, wondered if it was just me thinking this though!?

I do get pissed off at my tunes hitting page 2 in an hour or two for wobblers though

Ah yeah I agree with constructive critisism 100%!!! The main thing that I found surprising was that people were requesting to be sent the tune, so they could have it in their collection to play out...this was my main point I guess!

Generally the quality tunes are signed by respected labels and the producers refrain from handing them out to each and every random DJ they meet over the internet.

different strokes for different folks i suppose. personally i think 99% of the angry jump up stuff is utter shite, but people spunk their pants over it on here

Not directed at anyone in particular, but I'm not keen on the amount of hate on here, everyone has an opinion, but there is a way of putting it across..

I find so many good tunes in the dubs section. There is shit to sift through but same on beatport or any digital site. Alot of people posting there are begginers trying to get pointers and get their music out there.

Conversely I have heard really brilliant tunes in the dub section that just drop like a rock in the ocean. It is what it is. This thread is pointless imo.

I think the point is that the Dubs forum is ruining dubstep

Not really though because there are enough newbies comin' into the production forum giving us their "hot new exclusives" without the dubs section, these other places will be swamped :o

this is why i no longer frequent the dubs section.
it was bound to happen one day. scenes get over saturated but i guess in a way its better as people will search harder for the real shit and thus its more rewarding when you finally hit up something special...

I think the dub section is good. I liked to hear new talent however you do have to get through the lesser quality tunes. However as a frequent user of the dub area, i post my tunes on there for constructive criticism. I want people to help me make my tunes better. I do feel tho that if u put a bass wobble over any tune people are calling it sick and asking for a 320. But if those ppl like the tune then fair play. It just not my or from the sounds of it many of your cup of tea.
