When do you find yourself at your most creative and most full of ideas? When do you usually end up making a tune?
For me I seem to get a load of ideas around midnight every night, so I'm up an extra couple of hours working on something. But during the day, unless I am collaborating with someone I tend to have nothing.
This thread might be a bit pointless but I've been on the Guinness tonight so that's my excuse.

sounds emo..
But when I am feeling down and fucked off about everything around me..
And making music usually cheers me up too so 2 birds 1 stone and all that hippy bollocks.

Late night vibes deffinately.
I've been an insomniac for years now, I've found that when it comes to ANYTHING, im more creative late at night. Be it producing, writing lyrics, drawing, etc.
Although with that being said, I tend to come up with concepts and ideas for tunes during the day.

timewise, my most productive time is usually either late night or first thing when i wake up
thankfully, nowadays it's not too hard to turn it on when i need to if i'm working with someone or have a deadline

Yeah, like has bin mentioned when I'm a million miles away from the studio!
I work shifts and get days off in the week so spend them doing tunes and if I'm on lates I usually don't bother and just play on my 360 because of the neighbours. Just recently though I've started having some late sessions with the headphones on and have come up with some good ideas, my best yet actually, so am gonna do it more often now. It's the way forward! Especially as I'd usually be wide awake in bed anyway with ideas for tunes running round my head.

I never get musical ideas beforehand, I just sit down and write something automatically. I think you get the best kind of results this way or least the most experimental results.
Im probably most creative after not writing something for a few days but there isn't a certain time in the day I flow with ideas.

I have definetly noticed this before and I feel most creative when I am going up shit creek with a turd for a paddle. Seems like the worse my life is the better my music gets...On the + or - side my life has been pretty good lately, but I feel like I havent made one of those full of inspiration/creativity tunes for ages.
