Has anybody used Fxpansion's Guru?
My brother's got it and i had a go on it the other day! Its so good for making loops and that!

Admittedly, it doesn't come with as much sample content, have built in fx or load rexes, but that is half its charm. It functions by keeping things simple and focussed on what is necessary to make decent drum parts.
If you need extra samples, a quick google search will throw rthem up. For fx one can use its multiple outputs + vsts. Most decent DAWs these days load rexes directly into their sequencer anyways...
