I've had a few people say to me how a good thing about dubstep is how it's free from drugs etc.. (including one girl @ fwd who was billin a huge spliff!.. i knew what she meant tho..)
so is this true?? does everyone here just keep it natural and herbal? i swear at dmz queueing for my jacket i saw bare lockjaws!
i gotta admit the first time i heard dubstep live (kind by accident) i was pilling and it was...
but been bare times since without any chemical assistance and been just as good if not better.
so do people here think it's true that dubstep is free from druggie bullshit, and would the music and dances be different/worse if the crowd was always buzzing of their faces (as is normally the case at d&b raves)??
what's your thoughts?

Nah, myth. There's drugs all over the place.
Maybe not as much as in other genre's, but it's still there, especially at the all nighters and since fwds move to a friday.

great subject....lets not be scared to talk about this.
I cant speak for parties in UK but here is a thought tho, maybe people are getting high if they choose but in moderation.....just vibing and not getting retarded.
Responsible raving? Good god is that even possible?
This music comes from a different place and can be enjoyed from any perspective....and thats why I love it!!

Drugs and dubstep... oky doky, I dont care wot people do as long as they look after themselves, have fun and dont turn in to a crack head who gets bummed by loads of sweaty monsters with a jaw like Hank from me myself and irene.
There is definatly a lot less pill taking in dubstep. Coke is reasonably rare to, but who knows wot goes on behind the toilet door aye! Weed is definatly the winner! I think nearly everyone blazes.
Other raves such as Drum n bass are probably the winner for bean monsters!! you go to one nation nearly the entire rave is gurning there face off! and not just one cheeky bean either sum bods look like they have gotta be touching 10-20!? 'Go on son! tuck in you beautie!' after that many beans you no to expect sum ultimate beefy jawside action!!!!
Beans... bringing new meaning to a facial!

Seen Dubstep on pills once and it was pretty good even though the didz sucked lol. For me now though I'd much rather be smoking a reef when I'm getting jiggy with it. A small dab of phet usually helps to keep me goin all night though lol. Doobs & Booze all the way

Yeah, I always thought dubstep to be a relatively clean genre until DMZ. You know, fair enough there might be a group of guys who skank their way through the entire first two sets or something, this i can just about understand. Its when you get people who are still not only standing, but going nuts by the time the lights turn on that i begin to wonder what kind of helping hand they had in this ^ ^
I only toke/drink at dubstep gigs, and by the end my feet are aching something chronic etc. And i pace myself as it is!

i can definately relate to that
i think its amazingly jokes that people dont see draw as 'drugs'! i know why, and its not to be taken seriously, but it is funny.
most nights i go to im sober or have a couple drinks, but if draw didnt do nasty things to me nowadays then clearly i'd do it more or less every time, for the deeper end of the genre there is little match better
