Mac to PC compatibility questions

Post by dragonmantx » Sat Nov 18, 2006 5:09 pm

My boy made a track on a mac in garage band, is there any method for converting the .band file to a format that something on a PC could read? like FL or Acid? or a way to dump individual mixer tracks out of garage band individually?
any help would be greatly appreciated. Last time i used a mac was an Apple IIe to play oregon trail, things have changed a bit..

the whole song can be exported in m4a, not individual tracks(at least not that im seein). im guessin its a restriction of garage band, this would probably be easier in logic.
thanks for the help fellas

Solo a channel. Then bounce it.
Solo the next channel, bounce it.
Next Channel, bounce it.

That's how I personally would do it?

That's how I went between Cubase & Logic because I couldnt get the Waves plugins to work on Cubase SX1 on the mac.

Hope that helps mate.

Just stick to the Mac. Problem solved. :)
And bloody hell... I must find my father´s old Apple IIe and ressurect it and all of the old games too. A trip down memory lane for sure.
