i have crystal , it is pretty complex , i cant get all types of evolving atmospheric sounds like ive seen in absynth tutorials

add effects. absynth has some effects built in that give it the sound i think, but if you mess with vsts youll get a better sound out of crystal

It's not free but it is cheaper than Absynth and worth every single penny, I am gonna buy after Xmas.

Crystal is quite confusing. Don't be expecting anything that comes close to absynth.

Absynth is actually extremely straight forward once you understand the architecture of the synth. Its a lot easier to use then FM8 as well.
