bit of a sad thread but.. How often do you think about death

Post by lynn mc » Mon Oct 26, 2009 11:28 pm

?
your own death that is...

it will happen eventually

For myself to answer the question, it doesn't really bother me, especially when you think about those other small creatures in the world who only get a 1 year to live.

so yeah, Not scared of death my self, I just think it will be like a never-ending dream you enter when you die, brain working or not, your soul will enter a dream like world. I'm not a relijous guy either.

however, what I am scared of is losing family and friends, that's the worst thing of all.

literally every day, it scares the living shite out of me. the concept of not existing is so terrifying to me that i physically spasm when i think about it.

i wish that either a) i had religious faith or b) i had a pair of testicles

Quite alot actually.
Sometimes it scares the shit out of me, and I start worrying about friends and family.
Other times I just sorta go 'Meh'

I think about death far too much... Strange how we know so little about such a regular thing.

it really makes you think when you think about death, its a concept i cant really get my head around. just not..existing, is it jsut eternal darkness? you wouldnt be aware of it cause youre dead, its just...nothingness. kinda creepy

Actually around twice a week, while i'm laying awake not able to sleep straight away. It stems from my thinking about the nature of the universe, which stems into thinking about the nature of time, then stems into the nature of consciousness, then onto death and trying to hopelessly comprehend nothing...just nothing, when you have no consciousness to comprehend anything, then i think just how short life is compared to the rest of the universe, well the planet itself for that matter, just how insignificant this planet seems compared to the vas......And now i'm back where i began! :D

Just think about the fact that you don't really die, your atoms are used in other ways. you form life again as some of our atoms probably would have been around in previous generations of fauna/flory/humans...
