if it wasn't for the fact that myspace is "the norm" I wouldn't even bother using it. would use bandcamp, soundcloud, and radio3 (a canadian thing  ) exclusively

soundcloud has a bit of the social networking aspect, but not so much that you get spammed to high hell. you can't spam period.

Ive supported Soundcloud since beta, I love how easy it is to give nice, clear feedback - while you can listen back to your own track and as you listen you can see what people were thinking during that point of the tune, that aspect of it is beautifully thought of!

Though, I don't like some of the restrictions you have if you don't pay for it, such as only 3 sets, I can deal with 5 uploads a month and not being able to re-order the track list in "tracks" and having to use Sets I dunno it just feels untidy for me sometimes..Thats just nick picking though

soundcloud is the future :)

perhaps it's cuz many people on myspace don't take a lot of musicians on there seriously.

I can't think of how many times I've heard (and used) the term "myspace rappers" or "myspace producers" even though I've discovered brilliant shit on there.

Soundcloud doesn't have that reputation.

I only joined relatively recently and so far, I think it's great :D another problem with myspace is that some people's pages have all this crap on them, and all you want to do is listen to their tracks. Often the player is the last thing to load :P

and those dam bots with myspace addresses like 72387427948293749

myspace seems to be very slow catching on to new stuff tbh it hasnt changed a lot since i've been a member ... it would be much better if they kept up with the rest esp like deviantart.com .... if deviant art had a music player that site would pwn the rest

but atm soundcloud is king for music

.... its helped me find bare new tracks and producers i'd probably would never of checked on myspace or got the chance to downlaod ...

i read ages ago on boing boing they were going to integrate the myspace player with a shop so you could sell your tracks this was over 12months ago dont know if they're still doing it

Absolutely love soundcloud. Think it'll get popular real quick; hope it doesn't fuck the whole ting up.
