Uncle Bill was one of my pen names when I wrote zines.

It's a reference to William S Burroughs who has almost the same surname as me.

Stole it from someone I play poker with.

Although he spelled the 'cazee' bit kazi, which looked too much like n a z i, so I changed it. Didn't like karzi, because that means toilet, so I spelled it in the most awkward way I could think of that didn't have national socialist or toilet connotations.

Edit:
Thinking about it now, I should have spelled it karmakaze.

My initials are DG! SNAP!

My username came from a appauling tendency in the past to always miss the bus.

If my friends are meeting up they tell me to meet them 10 mins earlier then they are getting there so I get there on time. This worked until I cottoned on to what they where doing.

I like drugs. I'm fascinated with how the body/brain is affected by chemical instructions. It's endlessly amazing... :r:

Whilst in college me and a few mates went through a phase of ending every sentence with the word yeah? Sounds annoying and looking back it probably was but it was funny at the time. Guess it just stuck with me :)

Thought it sounded cool, and had recently been to Eastern Europe, I will probably change it in the future considering there's loads of things called Defekt.

Needed a nickname to play Duke Nukem 3D as against friends when I was about 13. For some reason I chose Magma and I have never been bothered to think of anything better.

You could easily play modem > modem or over LAN on PC, yeah. It was all about leaving a note on your parents phone warning people not to pick up the handset otherwise the game would drop out!
.
Forgotten what the system was called now, but there were even some TCP/IP servers a la Quake World.

Duke Nukem was the poo multiplayer. My mate used to make custom maps in BUILD for us all to play in... Geekorama! He's now working on APB, so perhaps it paid off - http://www.apbgame.com/
