Soundcloud
My first dubstep project .
Tried to make it not too repetitive, because i don't dig that . Also tried to give it more atmosphere rather than stuffing it full of wobbly bass . The bass comes, but it comes when it's time to come .
Recommend using headphones while listening to this .
I'm not completely satisfied with the last 25~ seconds... but at the same time i don't know what to add or change .
<3 this forum. Been lurking for a while now, but decided it's time to change that and show you guys what i've managed to create

I got a letter from the government the other day... I opened and read it, it said I'm a hustler .

cool track - my only observation is that the higher frequency click/snare-type sound on top of the bass drum (or as part of the bass drum sound - i wouldn't know) is a little distracting throughout the song - it definitely takes away from the power of the snare. personally i'd rather here a nice deep bass drum sound and a massive hit in the face with the snare

I would play with your levels more. On my studio monitors, the snare is really low in comparison to everything else. I try to keep the levels of my snare on par with my kick drum. And yes, that high freq part of that kick drum does take away from it a bit. I'd suggest working in some cleaner (not so reverb'd) hats/percussion into this track
I dig the effort on keeping the wobble interesting. Doing a good job. Nice weirdness going on in the breaks for sure. You might try adding a massive crash hat on the first bar of the wobble to make it drop harder right there. Play with putting in more layers, muting things for effect, etc.
Good work overall for your first!
