what the hell is "schranz"?

I not sure about that description on Wikipedia, i believed that Schranz was what was coming out on the early Kompakt releases, could be wrong though. I hate all these sub genre's!!!

its a term that is (here in germany) used by many candyravers to describe hard, repetitive techno (doesnt matter if its from detroit, scandinavia, berlin or somewhere else...). in most of the cases people that use the word "schranz" dont know anything about music, but take 20+ pills a night and think theyre "cool" or smth. like this when they listen to "hard" or "underground" music.

it's German hard techno. very repetitive but then again, it's for people who like it just like that.

ok thanks, by the way not sure I like it to be honest, I like techno as long as it keep sme interested, this just sounds like a CD that's 'stuck'.
