That's actually quite tragic that she's had to (or been willing to) compromise her artistic integrity that much to get fame.
Shame cos she's clearly quite talented

i dont think she comprimised much honestly im pretty sure she was doing stuff in the nyc club scene for quite a while that was very pop influenced.

anyone see her on saturday night live? was a pretty weird, but cool performance.

She's a good performer, she's just chosen a stage that'll make her the most money possible - I can't stand her on-stage persona, but some of her songs have great hooks. She used to be a writer for Britney Spears etc... it's actually nice to have the writer performing for once, I guess.

Oh shit.

Definition of a sell out. I guess she wanted fortune and fame over artistic intregrity.

I don't get the Lady GaGa hate. My friends carry on complaining about her... My reaction:  The world needs creative / interesting people. Besides that her music is good. Not saying I'd buy it, but musically, from a creative / production / songwriting standpoint, it's high quality. Talent is talent. Let her wear her wigs.

Nope, she is complete garbage..and a biter.

I was just trying to do her some justice by checking her videos..

The Paprazzi song is this..exactly
(Journey - "Any Way You Want It")

<iframe src="/forum/video.php?url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqyIpwhXXrk" frameborder="0" style="overflow:hidden; height:auto; max-width:540px"></iframe>

..not to mention that the video was 2 minutes of luxury commercial tied to sexual violence..which is always nice

Her Pokerface song had interesting music, but her singing was completely unneccesary..
..in fact, she sang too much and about dumb shit..

That song is also a direct bite - I didn't spend time identifying the original - but it was immediatly recognizable..

..just listened to Just Dance - a multitude of vocal rifts lifted..

You know - I'm not against assimilating elements of you favorites or whatever..

I just don't think her stuff is that strong on it's own..she's just another manufactured fame whore.

but mostly - she sang too much and about dumb shit..

I don't really care that much..just sayin' - I don't buy her
