USB Audio Interface for under £100.

Post by krusade » Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:28 am

Morning, Im looking for a USB audio interface for under £100 I've ended up just getting frustrated so far.

I only have my monitors to deal with so just the minium outputs are needed (Preferably TRS).

So yeah, im completely clueless what to buy for my minimal needs, Im just looking for a nice sounding interface for a nice price.

Give me your wisdom dsf :(

*I checked the soundcard sub on the bible, Didnt help me greatly.

I haven't really got a recommendation per se, what I will say though is that I tried going 'cheap' with an audio interface and got no end of trouble... I initially bough a Presonus USB Audiobox and the thing was more trouble than it was worth, I couldn't get anything playing without clicks and pops and total failures all over the shop.

Eventually had to chuck it and got myself a Focusrite Saffire LE instead. It's still not perfect (I think I need to fiddle with the latency settings a little) but it's a million times better than what I had before.

The moral is, sometimes by trying to spend less it ends up costing you more.
