dizzee rascal - 'cut em off' lyric??

Post by millski » Tue Dec 08, 2009 1:08 am

in no way claiming this is a good/bad tune....

however - in first verse im certain the line is....

'Your not a bad boy your puttin on a show
Your talkin bout creepin up on Rusko
So keep creep crawlin cus im takin big 'ol steps'

lyirc sites all seem to list this line with 'Rusko' with a capital 'R', but this record was out in 2002/3, surely it cant have any relevance?

sorry for soundin thick, not big on knowledge in the grime department.

millski.

Sometimes when Dizzee says 'Rascal' in a tune it sounds like Rusko. Well coming from an Australian ears point of view...

Dizzee moniker..

Raskit
Rasskolla
Rasskilla
Captain Rasko
etc

he used so many variations back in the day... probably just sounds like "Rusko", no relation to Rusko the producer

It's Captain Rosko or Captain Rosco, rather than Rusko the dubstep producer. Dizzee has a very dense use of unique slang, esp in those days.

He does have an amazing talent for twisting up vocab, I'll probly get hated on for saying this but he reminds me of Bob Dylan in that sense.
