Whats the deal with you people?

Post by vida infra » Tue Dec 08, 2009 1:38 am

I don't post on this forum but I visit it frequently for new tunes, videos, mixes, and just to see whats going on in the Dubstep scene and the majority you guys are a bunch of downers. About 80% of the threads I open are nothing but complaining. If you are so fed up with the dubstep scene why even both posting on this bored? So much negativity about a genre you all claim to LOVE . Shut the fuck up start producing and DJing if you are so upset about it.

growth brought a lot of angry frustrated people into this sound. add to that the fact that there's actually money being made now, and careers being established for many people. all of that brings the natural results of musical success....competition, envy, jealousy, moaning etc.

2010, this sound could go anywhere. everyday there's new news.

that's because we're critics. that's what we do. we have the time and we don't expect to get paid, so really being critical about the critics is a bit hypocritical, doncha think?

this isn't just for people who just _like_ dubstep, its also for people who are _into_ dubstep and are into music in general. we have developed tastes and the freedom of speech.

besides, this is a forum. most forums are occupied by day-laborers and students who don't really like their jobs and need an outlet to circumvent bitching about everyday problems. for me the more interesting threads are the controversial ones and the ones where some major ideas are being debated.

beef always entices, however pure sunshine can be boring and phony.

to get too deep, animals in general are a pissy kingdom. we need to be unsettled and upset because our pacificity might mean extinction when things change beyond our control. if you're too comfortable in your present surroundings it becomes harder to change when necessary. thusly, pissiness is a genetic trait billions of years in the making.

pretending everything is hunky-dory all the time is selling people a false reality.

nice to know you're keeping it that way.

but seriously i do agree with you about if you dont like something in the scene start producing or djing so you've got something you do like. but overall i think everyone just needs to relax about this whole thing, everyones going to have an opinion but them saying their opinion on dubstepforum isnt going to change anything, its not going to "kill dubstep" as alot of people have been saying recently, its just unnecessary hype. i think that its a good thing that people are very critical on here because its only going to drive and inspire producers and dj's to make better tunes or record tighter mixes and push the sound further. i'd rather someone absolutely slate one of my tracks (as long as they understood it) than just accept it and tell me its great because where can you go from there?

I agree. Its upsetting to hear peoples opinions on how we are "killing dubstep". Its just a ridiculous statement. It's not going to take over as the American Mainstream hip-hop sound. I actually received complains from several acquaintances that it was just to much for there head to handle (this made me grin), and that they wanted to listen to Lil Wayne...

quick glance of the main forum seems like more than 75% of everything posted is advertising. not sure what is more disturbing.

pot.
kettle.
black?

challenging all aspects of the scene is what keeps it on its toes and fresh and exciting. if everyone were to sit back and praise every dj or producer, theat wouldnt be conducive to a healthy and positive directioned scene.

p.s. doorly and borgore are killing dubstep ;)
