It is a genre. Anyone who says it isn't real or gets aggravated is generally some who likes brostep and doesn't want to admit it to themselves.

It's okay, you don't have to be ashamed. We know you didn't choose to like it.

brostep refers to tracks with overly distorted midrange basslines. a lot of it is produced in the US (Richie august, etc...) and it mostly comes out on digi labels.
the term brostep comes from the word bro, aka "just chillin with my bro at the club listening to some DIRTY FUCKIN brostep!!!111!!!"
SKIP002 Out now on 12" only (Swing and Skip Records)
A. Damu "2010"
B. HGLDT - "Knowing You"
BB. HGLDT - "Knowing You (Resketch Remix)

Soundcloud

Also out now: FRSH002 - HGLDT 'Evolution EP' - "Wake Up Call", "These Days" + KingThing Remix

What do you know about sexystep or Metrostep...
Not a big fan of the word brostep.
From my understanding songs classified as brostep are tracks with mostly midrange wobble that have no groove and clear the ladies from the dance floor.
But what do I know.
