I voted Twitter even though Soundcloud is currently one of the most respected ( at least up until right before they implemented those changes)

you can bun all the " 10:30 AM - this morning I shaved my pubes but wasn't careful enough - OUCH!....10:31 - I need more napkins to clean up this mess....10:35 - called 911....10:50 on the way to the hospital" bullshit that people post and acually connect with waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more people in various music related occupations and all that....not just producers like on soundcloud.

keep in mind I have yet to use Twitter in any meaningful way lol.

lol :t:

well, the only problem with twiiter is that you actually cant put a musicplayer or anything on it..but most people still use it regular, so i put it in that list. also, you can control your tweets via myspace or reverbnation ect.

so it seems soundcloud takes it here but how about those changes?!

have a blessed day!

Sounds like a lazy bit of research for an article you're writing...

Facebook for me, I'm on it the most and the best way to contact me. Phone goes off when I'm working on a track.

thats what i would vote for if it was an option, and there is quite a few producers I know that use youtube to get their tunes out there.

It's what my vote went to as well, mostly because it's probably the easiest way to incorporate videos into our site and spread good music, considering all that's on there. Plus we use it for the videos me make for and at our parties.

We're planning to make a lot more use of SoundCloud and Twitter in the next year though for our own releases, and this thread made me realize it's time to get on Facebook too.

Hyves has some good potential as well for us Dutchmen, but I'm personally pretty turned off by a lot of the spamming that goes on there.

For me Facebook hands down. And it even incorporates twitter, soundcloud, youtube and blogs or whatever. Forums are still huge too. DSF and Facebook would be in the win category imo. Twitter I pretty much hate, I gave it a good shot, made like 300 tweets before getting completely bored with it. It is like the anti-social social network lol. Myspace is interesting. Regular users have been dropping like flies but I lot of people still use it regularly. What is interesting is I have noticed the promotion has slowed up on there big time so any promotion that you do do won't be lost in the sea of spam it once was. Myspace is also still a trusted site that comes up in a google search and often the one people will click on first. Soundclick, I wasn't even aware people still used that? Worth getting on? If you want to be affective you should use all of the above imo.
