Global Warming Appreciation Thread

Post by Blue Patterns » Mon Dec 28, 2009 8:12 pm

Imagine the Dec. 28th in Canada...and there's next to no snow on the ground...what snow is on the ground isn't serious at all. It's that dirt snow that's more common in spring.

Thanks to global warming I can experience shit I only been fantasizing about for every winter since the fun aspect of snow vanished when I was a child. Now I know what Vancouver winter must be like.

I may even go play some b-ball later, it's so fuckin warm.

honestly though...I think the world's coming to a conclusion. no snow here is roughly the equivalent of the saying "when hell freezes over"...or some such

I am in the twin cities area of Minnesota and we got 17 inches of snow just over Christmas night. It snowed for the next two days and we have a few feet total by now.

There was 10cm of snow, about 3 inches, in Kingston last year and the schools shut down for 2 weeks.

That happens here too. Anywhere north of Pennsylvania is used to it, but apart from that, people shit themselves whenever there's snow. Obama actually called out the DC school system for being a bunch of pussies when it comes to school closings.

nah, That only really happens south of Yorkshire. Anyone further north than that generally just get's on with it, once you get to the North Eeast / West and Scotland it doesn't even make the news. I have some pics I will hunt out and post later where the snow is about 5 feet deep up here :)

If London gets more than 1/2" and they're fucked, they can have bombs dropped on them everynight for years and continue whistling a cheeky cockney tune but as soon as they see the snow they turn into shandy drinking southern puffs :*(
