Yhep cut them up, use any effects that you have and make a track!
And regardless whether or not the samples are great that is part of the challenge, make what you can from nothing.

That art is gonna look really out of place if the winning track ends up being happy and upbeat.

i just had a nice little learning experience, Im sure for someone with more experience its pretty easy to do but i decided i wanted to tighten up that snare and take the reverb out of it, so i EQed it then put a enveloper on it to tighten the up the tail, i couldnt seem to get the samplers amp env to help me out so i had to use a plug in and that worked great. Its nice learning how to use your tools effectively and knowing when to use them.

Pretty good samples IMHO.

I love it when a tune just kind of writes itself.
