Heeeelp with ableton and mpd24

Ok so i bought a launchpad, hooked it up installed the drivers, never showed up on control surfaces in preferences. so i returned it, and got an akai mpd24 and installed the drivers and all that, and its not showing up undercontrol surfaces either, any ideas so i can get this thing to work properly with ableton?? i have the latest version of ableton 7. thanks.

i had this problem with a cracked version of ableton, in the end i had to buy it for my apc40 to work with it

well i really hope there is another way around this, cuz i dont have the bones to drop into a new ableton, what about if i got a cd key from someone? a couple of my buddys have cd keys, so i could use thiers. also i tried to download the demo of 8 and it keeps erroring on me so i cant even do that.

i think you can only use the launchpad with 8. maybe u coulde use it as a generic midi device

or u could just use the ableton they give u with the launchpoad for now

well i took the launchpad back and exchanged it for the mpd24, so thats what im trying to get to show up under control surfaces and its not so ehh. helpp!

ok so i got the mpd24's knobs and sliders to work with ableton, but the only thing i cant do now is control the drums in impulse with the pads? any suggestions? also is there any way to map the rate change in albino to one of the knobs or sliders?
