2562 (TECTONIC – THE HAGUE, NL)
Imagine the perfect liaison between dubstep style rhythm and bass, deep techno soundscapes and unusual sampling ethics: sexy, deep and energetic at the same time. That’s the mission behind 2562, the low-end project of Dutchman Dave Huismans. His uptempo, techno-infused bass transmissions such as Channel Two, Kameleon and Techno Dread – released on DJ Pinch’s respected dubstep label Tectonic from Bristol – found their way onto the decks of everyone from Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, Kode 9 and Mala to Pole, Anthony Shake Shakir, Laurent Garnier and all those who have their ears primed for heavy bass, deep funk and spatial dub. 2008 brought his debut album ‘Aerial’, melding genres with a distinctive futuristic production style to wide acclaim, followed by sought after experimental releases for his techno project A Made Up Sound, a.o. on the Hardwax-affiliated Subsolo label.
The buzz around his releases got him booked to play at UK dubstep-strongholds such as Subloaded, FWD and Sub Dub, but also at international high profile clubs such as Fabric (London), Berghain (Berlin) and 11 (Amsterdam), as well as numerous festivals and underground locations from Scandinavia to Japan and from Greece to Siberia. But 2562 is not a producer-turned-dj after a couple of his records did well. Having been a vinyl fiend and full-on beatfreak since his youth he’s a proper selector who enjoys working the decks and making a trip out of a dj-set. Expect lots of fresh dubs from him and others, mixed up with the odd unexpected classic.

JUS WAN (SUREFIRE – SF)
As a youth in Denver, CO in 1995, Jus Wan (fka Just:One) developed a passion for the scattered beats and pulsing bass of the era's UK imported jungle music. After moving to San Francisco in 2000, an association with Betalounge.com exposed him to the emerging sounds of 2step and broken beat. This lead to him founding the internet radio station Flux.fm, and joining the ranks at Future Breaks FM!. Having done the rounds at various club nights in San Francisco since 2002, he finally scored a residency at San Francisco's Narco.Hz dubstep monthly in 2007.
Most recently, his productions have been released on labels like Apple Pips, Tube10 and Naked Lunch with a track appearing on the Dubstep Allstars Vol. 6 cd. The tunes have been played by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Appleblim, Martyn, Peverelist and Distance to name a few. His DJ sets are varied and contain everything from uptempo technoid flavors to glitched out low end frequencies with an emphasis on quality production and tight mixing.
