Post by dolly » Thu Dec 28, 2006 11:15 am

Apologies for the lame post  I am bored to fuck at work, they are all stnuc!!

Anyway, my best moment during 2006 would have to be.......erm.....I should have really thought bout this......right, I am verging towards Dubstep Wars Breezeblock show in January, the atmosphere up there was totally out of this world. Was just a fantastic start to the year for the world of Dubstep....Or.......

When DMZ got too rammed in 3rd Bass (with loadsa of peeps waitin patiently outside) and was moved to Mass in the middle of the night...what a fuckin great feeling that was!!

My birthday when I found out BDR001 was ready for me and Mala booked me for DMZ! - That was a heavy day even though I had a quiet one.

Large large large......Well done mate....

Having my tunes played on sub was pretty good. Also having them played at the redstar by Whistla...I missed that one though.....

Probably when Mala announced we had to move upstairs into Mass and watching the venue gradually pack up from there on in....

...Then watching Skream on the decks geeing the crowd up like he's Fatboy Slim... The man was having the time of his life up there! Was good to see for real.

So there was that moment which was wicked for the scene - my own personal highlight musically would be getting the Radio One show.

Other than those two moments, getting propped up with Wotless on holiday in Zante was another very deep evening!

well i thought the first Gritsy was the high point of dubstep here

then we had the second one.

then we had the third one.

now i can say the fourth one was off the chain and it might have defined Houston dubstep for this year. each show was awesome in their own right, but there was just this feeling i had throughout the entire night for the last one that really made me feel happy to be part of this scene.

Definitely getting lean and watching a french hot-air-balloon pilot almost crash into a tree on Planet Earth.

The March DMZ. The entire day/night. Chillin with everyone earlier in the day. Getting there early. Doing the BBC interview. Standing outside with everyone in the freezing cold weather before the doors opened.

Playing for 2 hours.

Just a special special night....all the way around. Hands down.

I'm still the last dj to ever play the 3rd Base room.....that's very special.

Sitting on the beach at Shambhala, smoking a spliff with my buddy watching crazy people dance around in the sunshine, and then hearing dubstep played out for the first time and going nuts over it.
It was one of those moments where I could have died, and if i somehow got into heaven.... the scenario would have been the exact same.
I'm worried about Bart. Today he's drinking people's blood, tomorrow he could be smoking!!

I've enjoyed literally every DMZ and FWD I've been to.

The 2nd drop of Lean Forward on the Iration Steppa's soundsystem?
