G31 is a Glasgow based dubstep producer. This will be his debut release but his versatile, reggae-influenced production has and will continue to receive a lot of play around the globe in 2010. As "Pity" gains momentum it will become a staple track for many spring and summertime sets to come. This track is not only a crowd pleaser, but has a distinct, crisp and bass-drenched drop. The smooth vocal sample moves at a steady pace and tells a story of it's own. As the name suggests, it's a pity there aren't more seamlessly blended vocal tracks with bass-heavy drives like this one. Complimenting the "AA" side of this record, this track is the heavier of the two.
AA. "Ras Vibes" - Roommate
Roommate is based in San Francisco CA and is affiliated with the west-coast Dubstep scene. He is consistently pushing the production envelope with his unique and upfront style, Roommate has successfully released a grip of bass booming smashers on well respected labels such as Argon, 10bag & Full Melt as well as his own label Hollow Point Recordings. This will be his second vinyl release with Stupid Fly Records. This production is geared towards effortless mixing and bringing in the reggae vibe. Living up to it's name, this track is packed with a complexity of drums and has an overall laid back groove with fewer vocals. The use of reggae horns and jungle-like sounds is the key ingredient for this track, where you can almost envision the circle of drums being played. This track will surely set the tone for any intimate or massive crowd.

Pure vibes release! i remember telling g31 he was going to be big one day, looks like this is the first step on the ladder.. he will go far for sure, no doubt.
Huge respect for both G31 and Roomate, two pure vibe releases here.. definatly bagged on release
just out of interest is there any competitions for a copy of this on wax? im completely skint and would love this as soon as it comes onto shelves, set opener for sure!
