Nothing to discuss. This is just an expression of fact, not a talking point.

BBC4 justifies the licence fee on its own. In the last year it’s given me fascinating programmes about Kraftwerk, Eno, Dylan, comics, science fiction novels, synthesisers, religion, jazz, Spanish art and the history of surgery. And loads of others I’ve forgotten about.

BBC3 is shite though.

Yeah Beeb4 is great even though I can't help feeling it's existence would be completely unnecessary if they just punted all the lifestyle crap off Beeb2.BBC3 however is a steaming torrent of effluent and should be terminated forthwith.Got to echo the shout for Radio4 too,it's so much more than just a cozy little melange of Archers repeats, gameshows featuring Tim-Brooke-Taylor and gardeners question time.

Start the week and In our Time[despite being hosted by Melyvn Blag] are good too and the Today programme is the only way to start the day imo. Some of their guest editor slots have been great too,Zadie Smith,Thom Yorke,Jarvis Cocker,Robert Wyatt and Stephen Hawking being particular highlights.Oh and finally,Radio 4's where Chris Morris got his start with On The Hour, need I say more?. 8)

Don't think I've listened to radio 1 really for years now[apart from M.A.H and G.P on Iplayer],even radio 2's better these days.
