Anybody have a tale of near death, car chase, tiger attack..

I'm the kind of guy that can talk about hard disk space like it's the most exciting subject in the world, so I want to hear from any of you that have a genuine adventure story, be it executing the perfect heist, fighting off rebel Sherpas in Tibet, dodging a falling tree, anything!

At a friends house when I was 8 y.o running around the outside of the pool playing marco polo.

Their place was under construction so the fence to stop people falling off the edge of the pool that was facing a 50m drop down a gorge wasn't there. Lost my footing/balance and almost plummeted to my death if my mate hadn't caught my arm.

Remember it as if it happened yesterday.

I have had pneumonia and a blood clot in my lung at the same time once. Nasty and It would've killed me but got it early.

Sitting on a bus in India, picked up a bag and there was a snake under it...
I just put the bag back down, moved to another seat - and promptly screamed my ass off.

in china a few years ago, got hit with a bat and stabbed... was with some mates who also got a hiding... 8 or 9 guys jumped us soon after we left a club.... one got arm shattered and another stabbed six times :o somehow we got into cab and got to hospital... ruined the cab though, blood everywhere. dont think we paid either... anyway, we were out six days later. wierdly, i had over £100 on me, plus camera/passport/mobile, they didnt take any of it. police think it was racially motivated, the guys who did it got between 15-25 years each, in a chinese prison.. really wouldnt want to be them

when i was two i thought a boating lake was a puddle so i stepped off the edge into a 10ft deep body of water.
my grandad then reached in a hauled me out by the hood of my coat. distinctly remember the sight of water rushing past my eyes.

when i was five i went down a massive slide and when i got to the bottom my feet hit the floor and i pitched forward and landed on my face and scraped across the gravel and got rushed to hospital with a torn up face and concussion and had stitches with no anasthetic

Mountain biking in Breacon Beacons.

Brand new bike, first time I owned one with disk brakes.

Thrill and idiocy takes over me and I forget how to use them.

Go arse over tit.

Hit the handle-bars cracking three ribs.

Give the hard ground a hello kiss smashing my front two teeth to smitherines.

Once got out of a car to go for a piss at the side of a road. I hopped over a fence, caught my foot and almost fell headfirst about 30ft down onto a traintrack.

Ran across the road on my way back from school and nearly got flattened by a big 4 x 4. They skidded and stopped just in front of me. Scared the shit out of me.

Too many nearmisses with cars to even mention. Been hit a couple of times. Several car crashes too.. always come out unscathed somehow.

Rushed by Amber Lamps to Great Ormand St with Police escort when I was a baby for a kidney infection - turned out to be nowhere near as life threatening as they thought it was.

Fell off a 2 metre ledge onto concrete when I was about 6 or 7, knocked myself unconscious and had to be treated in a French hospital. (Hint: Either my Mum's French is TERRIBLE or they think Natural Yoghurt and Apple Sauce is a suitable substitute for painkillers)

That's about it for life-flashing-before-my-eyes... mainly I've been pretty lucky to avoid bad situations!

I was in a car crash once. I was in the back seat on the left side. Looked out of the window and saw a car coming at me and it seemed to be in slow motion then suddenly the whole car slid sideways and I went flying all over the back seat. Smashed my head head off the roof and windows (I didn't have a seatbelt on). The door on my side was all crushed in and I had to boot it open to get out so i guess I'm lucky it didn't crush in onto my leg.

Had to run off to a mate's after that because the police were coming and I had 6 grams of ket in my pocket.

i was messing around at the Grand Canyon and climbed past the fence to get out on a ledge. i was wearing flat-soled worn out shoes and lost my footing. my jeans against the rock provided just enough friction to keep me sliding off and falling a mile down.

Last year on the way to Superdubpressure i had 5 people in the car (4 in the back without seat belts on, 1 in the front and then me driving), we had Mescaline & 2CB on us and we were coming into Brighton but were still on the main roads. I got a phone call from a friend and answered it, this took my concentration away from the road. Ahead was a cross junction with some traffic lights and i did not see that they were red. Once i saw them i was about 10-20 metres from them so i slammed the brakes on, slid through the lights (it was wet) and then looked to the right, on the other side of the road (going the opposite way to us), there was a Police riot van just sitting there waiting for the lights to change. Luckily we didn't get t-boned by a car and the police didn't see what happened, so i turned off and went down a residential area and tried to comprehend how lucky we had just been.

If i had gotten pulled over i would of been charged with: being on my mobile while driving, having 4 people in the back, having 2CB & Mescaline on us and going through a red light.

Not to do with me and not that amazing but last weekend i was with my girlfriend at some traffic lights waiting for them to change, she looked left and thought it was clear so then starts running across the road but there was a car coming from the right. I was holding her hand a pulled her back before she got hit. It was lucky and stupid of her and it scared me abit.

yeh few near misses in cars, almost had head on collision in my mates car at about 60 mph with another car who was overtaking like a prick. also in my other mates car we crashed at about 50-60 cus he didnt see the corner as it was pitch black, was about an 80 degree corner. he wentstraight off panicked didnt even break luckily we missed a tree by about a foot.

had an anaphylactic shock few months ago to peanuts (cus im badly allergic), my adrenaline injection backfired twice so i didnt get any in me, got rushed to hospital and shit had hypoxia (lack of oxygen in blood) and i was unconcious for a bit.

thats about exciting as my life gets lol
