Buying Plugins used.
I was thinking about purchasing a used packaged version of Massive by Native Instruments. Is this safe, because I heard Massive got discontinued, and the only availabe way to buy it is with komplete 6?

Buying second hand licences isn't a bad thing, but ensure you are allowed to transfer the licence for your software before making the purchase. (Ask the developer directly or read the EULA agreement).
You may also wish to complete the transaction through ebay or something, just to give you marginal buyers protection.
If they are asking for a Western Union transfer, tell them politely to fuck off (because they are likely scammers)
Or just buy it new for the full price, getting full customer support and access to discounts and freebies in the process!

Nope.back2onett wrote:second hand plugins? isn't that piracy?
It depends on the EULA of each individual company regarding their products.
Soem companies allow licence transfers, others don't.
Some do allow transfers, but don't offer customer support to the second user etc (bastards).
Re: Buying Plugins used.
Massive can be sold. They allow the license transfer. I have two so am willing to sell one, btw peoples. I've been meaning to do it for like a year now...

Yeah, was just going to post a link to the KVR marketplace.
Seems legit (well used anyway, and a big community so i imagine there'd be a lot of complaints otherwise).
Never used it myself tho.

I'm kind of an idiot, so I'm not to sure what the ">" means in this situation. Are you saying that Predator is better than Massive? If so, why do you like it more? I've been looking at buying massive (tried the demo and love it). But, a buddy of mine has a copy of Predator I could buy off him... never really used it though.goodeh wrote:predator > massive just in-case you anyone else thinks of buying massive.

i've tryed massive, but compared to predator, imo predator is better for bass. i've got sounds out of predator that i couldn't get out of massive, or albino. massive has some wicked pads and stuff tho. it depends what you'll be each plug in for tho.
