A problem with the kick
Sup.
When I have made like a massive wobble with massive I almost not hear my kick, this annoys me, the massive isn't into the red bounds so I don't have a clue.
I just want to hear my kick the way I hear the kick without the wobblebass.
Are here any tips for? to make the kick hearable or the wobble a little softer but then the same bass/sounds as it had before?
Thanks in advance.

Re: A problem with the kick
Thanks mate.
Side-chaining did the job.
I'm kind of new to all this tbh.
Thanks again.

Re: A problem with the kick
use a frequency analyzer. Get your kick to hit at around lets say 78 or so and cut out the rest.
So you can load a kick let it hit on the analzyer say its hitting around 50. Well you could pitch it up to around 78 and take an EQ and cut out the rest.

Eq any problems before dynamic changes such as sidechain.
Just make sure you find a 'space' for each element. for me, i always check that theirs a space in the bases harmonics at around 100hz (ware my kick normally peaks) for example.

honestly before all that processing just make sure your volumes are right. im finding this key to make my drums stand out the way that i want. you want your drums to slam, make them fucking loud. then eq, sidechain, process and blah blah blah to get everything sitting pretty and flowing properly.

And before eq, choose sounds that leave room for each other.
or, don't use a kick hit when the bass hits.
Think of the bass region and each beat as a really tight vagina. You only want one cock in there at a time. So just take turns. Kick sub, kick kick sub...

True that. Sidechaining often isn't needed if the levels are right. Get the kick hitting at around -10 and just adjust the level of the midrange bass until you can hear both properly....

Creative, seriously changes the tune, n if youve got n lfo that fades on so its not a painful volume cut everytime it enters, youd be forced too envelope the first bit.... In some instances, this makes alot of sense though, n yeah, bigup, cause Idda NEVER thought of that one...zloboff wrote:move lfo phase !

Re: A problem with the kick
You cannot hear your kick becuase your bass is too high. Hmmmm, no idea what you may need to do here. Try filter to cut off or turn up the wobble some more?Njamimars wrote:Sup.

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
