How do you keep up-to-date with the dubstep scene?
This is something I've never really been good at, and i think it's something people who are new to the scene have trouble with (correct me if i'm wrong)
So how do you keep yourself up to date with the latest happenings?
Do you have certain blogs/sites you check regularly?
Do you check Vinyl/Mp3 sites for the latest releases?
etc

Re: How do you keep up-to-date with the dubstep scene?
I find myself not givin a shit what the charts or anything else say... 99% of what I listen too are people I tal too and know from around the web, so I always know what they have going on, what thier labels are doing, and + ... I get 230s like mad...
But, I make sure (really, cuz I dj n have too stay up on it)... that I browse myspace for an hour or so daily just lstenin to wierd unheard acts n shit, n I keep up with a few blogs here n there, constant listenin in the Dub sections, browsing the Dubstep board, ect...
Its electronic music, its hard as fuck too get into and easy as hell to stay current with.

Music wise:
Listen to new and innovative producers. Typically one or two every four or so months come out that use a new technique that eventually becomes the standard. I guess
Scene wise:
Go out, meet people that are making moves.

I hear what your saying about charts
All the "Top 10" and shit on beatport and juno etc tend to be the 10 tracks i least want to download

I don't keep up with the 'scene', and could barely give a flying as to who's who and when dun wot etc. (<--- great grammar
)
Names of artists, labels and tunes escape me, and it's only those I end up having direct conversations with that stick in my mind.
I'm also a bit cack on dubstep history. I think I read the dubstep wiki once?
Good times!

I agree. Every couple of months a new sound starts to evolve... Dubstep is rad because it could sound like this one week, and in a different direction the next.
To stay in the loop i check DSF, mosey on blogs, myspace artists, soundcloud surfin. And a big one is going to dubstep parties, whatever the headliner is playin in most cases is the current ish... Jump on it!!!
