This edition of Dub Kings sees the up and coming Jakwob take to the Junk booth with a vengeance. Demonstrating the skills that have won numerous bookings at festivals, parties and clubs alike for what has promised his 2010 to be the year the scene stands up and takes full note.

James Jacob AKA 'Jakwob' has seen his career rocket over the past year. First coming to acclaim via some major appreciation in the blog world for his bootleg of Ellie Goulding's 'Starry Eyed' and endorsing such support with his remix of 'Under The Sheets' released in September of last year – a track well received by peers and fans, he's since gone on to remix the likes of Empire Of The Sun, Temper Trap’s ‘Fader’, Penguin Prison, Audio Bullies, Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and I Blame Coco – he has taken the scene by storm with plenty more to come including numerous club and festival dates for 2010.

Hailing from the Midlands, Jakwob is a multi-instrumentalist having been involved in many groups, starting in jazz - moving on to play death metal and folk. This goes a long way to explaining his style which transcends genres combining elements of dubstep, trance, ghetto-tech and breakbeat (to name a few)...
This eclecticism also manifests itself in Jakwob's DJ sets which take in dub, hip hop, drum and bass, dubstep and anything else that he fancies making fit.

Currently working on a debut release and very much in demand as a producer of the moment, watch this space... Jakwob is the name to watch out for in 2010, touching down all over the UK.
