It was great.

There was a clash from hell on Saturday when Flylo, Joker and Salt & Pepa all went on at the same time. Magma and I tried to watch all three which was a bit silly.

Higlights for me were Luke Vibert, Ms Dynamite’s storming garage set and Kode 9 b2b Martyn.

That’s about as much detail as I can cope with at the moment. I’ve already filed 300 words on it this morning!

How was Autechre? I'm seeing them next week, was the set standard generative mad vibes or more like the 12hr thing they did (other peoples tunes as well, mashup ting)?
Also, did you go on the MasterBlaster? It's not a good BLOC if you didn't...

It was quite enjoyable. Too tired to post anything up now though. But Grandmaster Flash, Salt n Pepa and Mixmaster MIke were rather good. Didn't catch Autechre but heard they didn't quite live up to expectations.

MarioLuke was very good

fucking sick weekend, gutted it's over. Highlights included Rekordah, FlyLo, model 500, kode 9 + martyn, scratcha and roska. Fucking jokes time every night, out to that guy in the rainbow jumper walking around on sunday morning absolutely fucked on acid, getting lost and shouting "CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?!?!??"

Out to everyone who came, was a fucking good laugh hanging out with you lot! Definitely going next year!

Was it the Model 500 “band” thing or Juan Atkins DJ set?

Had a lovely time with you guys, surprised how much did we manage to catch yet still have time to hang around and chill together. Chocolate cake in the local cafe was just over the top ;) (Also, special thanks to Kay for feeding us on Sunday night!)

As for the music, yeah, 'not that good' quality of sound systems definitely played a role in many performances, but mainly spoiled Autechre show for me - these guys need nice, crisp sound and what they had to put up with was a very dull sound of the red stage. That aside, I enjoyed myself, starting the weekend with Rekordah and finishing it with Unlikely, managing to catch somewhat in between... 8)

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

I had fun.

Thought dBridge and instra:mental were class. Caught Mungo's Hi Fi and Soom T, really enjoyed their set too. Neil landstrumm and Jim Masters killed it with the techno on friday night. Fly Lo and Autechre were really saturday night, I seemed to find a sweet spot on the dancefloor and thought Autechre sounded really good?

Had to leave sunday afternoon before the music kicked off which sucked, but had a great time there anyway.

(thought bangface weekend was better though... more lols)

He was definitely a highlight of the weekend! And I maintain that he did do a forward flip! And when he stopped that guy in his tracks and just stared at him for like half a minute. Pure jokes!

Rekordah's set was a very good start to the whole thing.

Youngsta's set was well worth staying up for (and confusion about timings in that room that night). On the Subloaded day, really enjoyed Mungo's Hifi and Appleblim b2b Peverelist. And when Soom T went on at the end about ganja  All in, the dubstep selection was a lot more varied than at the festivals I've been to over the past year, which was a very good thing. The "old timers" (Salt n Pepa, Grandmaster Flash, Mixmaster Mike) were all still amazing at working the crowd and lent a lot to the festival atmosphere I thought. It was quite amusing (and not unexpected) that 95% of the female population were at Salt n Pepa and 95% of the male population was as Pinch/Distance or Fly Lo. I have to say, I was very wowed by how good Salt, Pepa and Spinderella looked, especially Spinderella :o :U:. Also, enjoyed Skream and Benga's set more than the one at DMZ the previous week.

And it was all finished off with a tasty garage set from Unlikely.

Was lots of fun meeting up with everyone, I think we put that chalet to very good use!

If I go again next year, a visit back to that tea shop in town is a must. That fudge cake was OMFG amazing! 4 layers of chocolate sponge liberally mixed with chunks of chocolate and fudge, sandwiched between 5 layers of rich chocolatey fudge goodness! OMMNOMNOMNOM!!!

Too much to take in at times but great sounds and a lot more fun than ATP which I have been to there 3 times.

Highlights were Appleblim B2B Peverlist, Kode 9 B2B Martyn, Joy Orbison, Rekordah, Lukid, FlyLo, Model 500, Mixmaster Mike. Great finishing with Skream&Benga and Hype, big ending which got all the hazy sunday heads going.

Autechre I lasted 3 tracks but just wasn't in the mood after 3 crashing tracks of meh. Lowlight getting the worst sweaty hug from a 62 year old ravEr mashing himself to Rob Hall. Security a bit heavy handed at times, saw some bloke get dragged out of the bogs with some blokes hand down his mouth trying to grab the drugs he was swallowing. Well worth going to those tempted. Sound quality excellent, no queuing of note, line up well written bar the big saturday clash where I couldn't work out what to see.

Heard, from my brother, that Fly Lo, that guy from Rhythm & Sound, Shed and Dettmann were all class.......Sunday's line-up was pretty shite........Komonazmuk was playing some good stuff in the bar, but he reckoned the bar was a shit venue to have him on in - too small etc., etc.

Overall, he thought Saturday was good, but Friday and Sunday were pretty weak.

Oh, and Benga and Skream were fucking awful....piss-poor mixing.....stopping n' starting tunes, taking the piss with rewinds etc.

they weren't that bad played some shit tunes but some good ones in between, like the last tune cn't remember the name (its going to be on skream album) but that was a sick tune (id anyone) and pokes was a badman!

also they both looked off their bloc  which could explain the bad mixing.
your right about the rewinds they were a bit over the top.
