Post by wub » Wed Mar 17, 2010 3:25 pm

Not talking about the by the numbers chartstep, I mean like tunes that make you rewind them to listen again to the sick production?

ah bollocks, just realised the slight contradiction in the title - not all tunes that are groundbreaking are immediately recognised as such

I am literally listening to "Life Unfolds His Mystery" by A Guy Called Gerald for the very first time as I'm writing. It is an amazing track on an amazing album (Black Secret Technology).

Length and Brecht - Synaecide Remix .... its kinda like... you gotta keep the lords name outcha mouth... not dubstep, but holy shit, first thing Ive heard in YEARS that took me back, made me stop and think 'Wow... thats beeautiful'....

As far as dubstep goes I never get particularly fascnated by new stuff lately... Whyrez new tunes pretty tight, lol, and Ive been rinsin Deadlys material? IDK... Im waiting for it... when I hear a dubstep tune that takes me aback again...

Vibrio's music too, Im doing a remix for him and I cant help but feeling like in all honesty, I could see dubstep producers going down his path soon enough... wierd shit... something between idm, industrial, dubstep, breakbeats, and orchestra... great music though, n another of those free albums... I blogged the link for that on childish-rec.com ftr

Don't care if it's "Hype, midrange, screechy shite"

this tune makes me flip each and every time I hear it, It's probably a good job I don't have the dub, my set would consist of about 30 rewinds of this

Also everything by Numbernin6! I crazy to say hes one of the producers in my eyes, because am more of a sub head, but then way i see it is if the "midrange" stuff is put into some musical content , then is good. And Numbernin6 does this the best! I love the melodic dubstep songs, and because he comes from a trance background, he knows everything about being melodic but with a extra twist

Nishant is the man! He got a few release out now, which is great :e:

There is nothing new out that is not overplayed to death worth buying for me:/

I would rather buy the old stuff by DMZ, Loefah and D1 etc.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I was really struck by how 'new sounding' that tune by instra:mental - track title "watching you" - was.. got exposed to it in that drumstep thread :e: tune that.
