★ KITO ★ [Nottingham debut!!!]

Hailing from Perth, Australia, Kito is a rising star among the young dubstep elite. Back in 2008, one of dubstep's orginators - Skream – heard her first completed track “What If”, and immediately recognised her consummate talent. He decided to sign this track to his record label (Disfigured Dubz), along with another one of her productions - “Cold”, making it the 5th release on his imprint.

This 12” saw great success on an international scale and resulted in Skream deciding to sign up her next four tracks for release on a huge EP in 2010. These include “LFO” (featuring vocals from Reija Lee) and her remix of Fever by Vaccine. Both songs featured in Chef’s CD on Dubstep Allstars vol. 7- the most recent chapter of dubstep’s most successful compilation and it is tracks such as these that have catapulted Kito into the forefront of the global Dubstep scene.

Kito’s exciting, fresh and precisely clean production has received support from a number of leading artists such as D-Bridge, Digital Mystikz, Benga, N-Type and Joker, to name but a few… Alongside an ever-growing fan base, press articles and reviews (from magazines such as NME and Knowledge) continue to heap praise on her work.

In a remarkably short space of time, Kito has established herself as one of the most sought-after and widely known names in the scene. With a plethora of dubstep works in progress, multi-genre productions in the pipeline and her DJ sets having a reputation as being nothing short of amazing, Kito's permanent move to London at the start of the year looks set to propel her to stratospheric heights for the rest of 2010.

★ ONEMAN ★

"It's a kind of an unwritten rule, but by and large to become a big DJ in dubstep you need either of two things: An incredible arsenal of new dubplates, or a talent for production such that you have, well, an incredible arsenal of new dubplates. But recently a DJ has managed a steep climb up the scene's ranks without either. He is DJ Oneman." - Martin Clark, Pitchfork

"Oneman has almost singlehandly re-invented old school garage - taking the art of djing to a new level - recontextualising 2 step garage into dubstep, grime, 'wonky' and beyond. He is still the only artist ever to appear on Mary Anne Hobb 's BBC Radio 1 show without releasing a single record." -Cargo, London.

Many of the most exciting producers from the capital, such as Joy Orbison, Bok Bok and Deadboy, would tell you their music comes from a place between house and garage, and when Brackles or Appleblim drop a 2step classic from ‘99, the dance floor goes off whether it’s FWD>> or Fabric. In one sense, this is simply the result of natural revisionism and testament to UK Garage‘s lasting power. In another, it owes much to DJ Oneman.

In 2008, Mary Anne Hobbs organised a show entitled Generation Bass, where each of the six dubstep DJs from 2006’s genre defining Dubstep Wars Radio 1 show picked a DJ each to perform a ten minute set. Dubstep pioneer Loefah chose Oneman, and in his introduction, revealed that he never particularly liked UK garage until he had heard Oneman mix it. The impact Oneman made on dubstep not only helped ease garage back into the consciousness of the underground, it got him a residency on Rinse FM, the premier grime and dubstep radio station. After a year spent as one of their most reliable hosts, he curated the 11th edition of the Rinse CD series, and we are proud to present one of the scene's most respected DJs!

★ BAR 9 ★

This dangerous dubstep duo need little introduction. Back in March 2009, they made their Nottingham debut smashing up the dance at Tektronik. Since, they have had huge releases such as 'Shaolin Style', 'Murda Sound' and 'The Beginning' which have helped to establish them as one of the most consistent acts in the dubstep scene. Along with their Leicester counterparts Nero and Rob Sparx, they are showing no signs of slowing down!
