SUBMORPHICS
Submorphics is Chicago-based producer and lifetime musician Greg Axelrad. Drawing on influences such as soul, rare groove, jazz, hip hop, 70s rock, deep house and film soundtracks, Submorphics? eclectic musical DnB output has received widespread global support from artists such as Makoto, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Marky, Danny Byrd, Big Bud, Alix Perez, Artificial Intelligence and many more.
A crowd favorite on the decks as well, Submorphics DJ schedule increased in the last several years, playing coast-to-coast in the states, as well as touring in the UK and Europe. His sets encompass a wide variety of rolling, musical dnb, as well as taking it more edgy and experimental, providing a diverse selection of beats every time. With releases out and forthcoming on labels like Spearhead Recordings, Westbay Recordings, Good Looking Records, Phunkfiction Recordings, Sonorous Music, Vibez Recordings, Intrinsic Recordings, Blu Saphir Recordings, Future Retro Records and Cymbalism Recordings, Submorphics is becoming a strong force in an already thriving new-school North American drum n bass scene.
Signed to Atlantic Connection?s LA/London-based Westbay Recordings in 2009, Submorphics is about to release his 2nd 12 on the label this Spring: Step in the Spot (feat. SelfSays)/Postmodern Soul. Look for this and several other releases to drop in 2010.

A California Native, Calculon has been listening to electronic music for well over a decade. After several years of DJing and promoting events he became interested in making his own tracks to mix into his sets. After joining the Rubik Records team alongside Kubiks, he has been doing A&R for the internationally respected label and has played shows from Bristol to San Francisco.
To date he has successfully signed tunes to labels such as Phunkfiction, Rubik Records, Fokuz Recordings, Human Elements, and Sublife. He also started the bootleg Vinyl Labels Beard and Smash Dubs, both of which have had their debut releases hit #2 on the Juno and Chemical charts. DJ Support for Calculon's original tracks and bootlegs come from DJs such as Logistics, Crissy Criss, A-Sides, AK1200, Reid Speed, Kubiks, and Infiltrata. Also a part of the Bassdrive Family, he has a weekly show Thursdays from 6 to 8pm PST on Bassdrive.com.
