So I done this twice now with real records, came back from the store and left them in my car leaning against the seat on a hot day, result = banana vinyl.

Most were too screwed to really save but I put them ontop of the aga anyway (I guess any warm/hot flat surface will do) and piled up some books underneath weights and left them for a while. I ended up peeling them off like some sorta plastic pancake then put them back in the same position on a cool surface so they could set flat.

As I said it kind of worked on a few to make them playable but others just got really bumpy, I don't know but I'd guess theres a chance you can ruin the grooves doing this but I had nothing to lose. At the end of the day I'd just buy some more, they're not too expensive.

Hope that gave you some ideas.

Trust me forget about it. Buy new vinyl. It is not like it's some rare single , it's just control vinyl. The oven, the sun tricks don't bother with. If it's just a slight warp you can stack a bunch of other records on top of them and let them sit for a week or so.

I did this the other week. I transported my setup from home to uni in a van. Left the vinyl on the turntable and when i got to uni one of the needles had fucked it and one of my timecoded vinyl fucking boomerang shaped.

now everything was sorted in the car. It all fitted nice together nothing sitting on top of it.

Just looking at my new vinyl i bought ones starting to do the same... (a touch)

Any ideas what this can be. I guess the sun may have got at it a bit. so ill keep the curtains closed from now on. Can the fact that my room is pretty damn hot be fucking em up as well? Its nothing like a club wouldnt see at all but its deffo very warm.
