Ninja Gardening Thread

Post by DRTY » Fri Apr 23, 2010 11:20 am

Any Ninjas grow their own? (veg etc)

I did some bits last year, very satisfying :)

This year my balcony is rockin' onions, radishes, carrots, tomatoes, chillies, lettuce, and peppers.

Most fruitful thing I've grown so far is chillies, you get fucking loads!

yeah I really want a fucking garden :q:

atm Im using my balcony (pretty small space), and windowsills, luckily its all southfacing so they get serious rays. But to have my own garden would be so amazing. Think I'd eat better, and save £££. As well as not giving supermarkets mah moneh

I have four crowns of Cascade hops. Lovely plants, and I harvest enough to make 15 gallons of ale. :D
Next year I should be able to split up the crowns and have eight!

Yeah mate...I was told if you care for it, talk to it sweetly and keep it moist, you'll reap the rewards...

In a hotter climate you can grow pretty much whatever you want, you could even grow your own tea & coffee there!

You can buy these pole things that have loads of hanging baskets on like this:

http://www.gardenxtras.com/productdetai ... ket+Stands

Theres only three on that one but you can get em to have like 6 or 8, and then youll also be safe from slugs and shit (although im not sure you get them in oz. You may be fending off much more bad ass thins like kangaroos and giant man eating spiders)

Discovering that growing your own garlic is about the easiest fuckin' thing in the world...

Also putting together a cool little cactus & succulent garden in a 1' square tray.
