What program do you guys use?!?
What programs do you guys use/recommend while producing your own dubstep? I just 'acquired' FL Studio 9 XXL, seems like a sweet program, but once again, what do you guys use? I am extremely new as you can probably tell.
Re: What program do you guys use?!?
Fl studio 9 has everything you need really. If this is not a troll post I would suggest you start getting acquainted with all of its features!

Re: What program do you guys use?!?
There's a massive thread lying in this subforum somewhere. Use the search function in the top right and you'll be able to find it eventually

Re: What program do you guys use?!?
FL 8 is my flagship which I occasionally rewire into Cubase 4
No matter what anyone else says to you, FL can do anything you want and more if you learn how to use it properly. It comes with a load of synths perfect for beginners and if you've got the XXL version you should have sytrus bundled with it which (imho) is the don of all synths. XXL comes with enough samples to get you started too (although they kind of suck)
basically everything you need you've got already

Re: What program do you guys use?!?
buy the actual program. not because you're a horrible person for pirating or something like that, but because you'll be much more driven to learn and understand the intricacies of your DAW if you've actually invested something in it. same goes for plug-ins.kevindeeley12 wrote:What programs do you guys use/recommend while producing your own dubstep? FL is good for beginners, but i wish i would've started with ableton, honestly. i feel like the first couple years i spent on fruity were time wasted when i could've been learning my way around a more powerful program. my 2 cents
power electronics and dancehall and rap
Re: What program do you guys use?!?
if the drive to learn and understand isnt there in the first place spending money on something aint gunna change that....but i suppose people are different and all that shit.

If it was a sweet program you would have paid for it you thieving little scrote.kevindeeley12 wrote:What programs do you guys use/recommend while producing your own dubstep? Prejudices against pirating aside, FL should do everything you need to do. Check YouTube for bare tutorials on getting dubstep sounds out of the basic synths that come with it (3xOsc, Sytrus etc) and for videos on drum programming.
Use the Search feature on this here forum for other stuff, and if you find yourself making a thread that starts with "This is going to seem like a real newbie question but...." then it probably is and you should make your way to the nearest alpaca defence shelter pronto.
