Big night, I'm still battered and gotta go work.

The last tune Kode 9 played was too sick, wasn't that used in that adidas advert last year with Cisse and Ashley Cole?

Anyone know what its called?

Big everyone, large

Been to fabric a few times on a saturday night the bar maids are ridiculously hot but then when you pay that much for a beer you need something a little extra, was the system good in room two cause i remember ages ago someone playing midnight request line and i could hardly feel any weight.

glad it went well. didn't have tickets though and couldn't really raise the energy to queue for ages..

sounds similar to my evening. got dragged to some swag electro night. was in shoreditch, so after a couple of hours of being mentally and physically boshed about by hoxton twallops I gave up and went to fwd.

benny ill was amazing.. hearing the two dub war tempa tracks was the highlight of the evening :D

Heavy night. Plastician absolutely smacked it, I haven't been that hyperactive for time.

Some standard waste people lurkin in there but what can you expect. Bare chewing of the jawside.

Work was interesting today...

My two cents ...
Thought the night went better than anticipated, and it was definitely a defining moment in the growth of dubstep.
Distance's set was tight, well built with some smooth mixing, although the soundsystem didn't seem to have warmed up properly. Digital Mystikz were class; plenty of classic dmz tunes, and the bass seemed to get going. Thought virus syndicate were a bit weak personally, i've seen them before and in my opinion they work better in a much smaller, personal venue. Plasticman was heavy; upfront, faster grime tunes really lifted the tempo just as the room started to get packed and the mixing was flawless. Kode9 was, for me, something of a mixed bag. He dropped some deep and classic tunes ie 9 samurai, but also a lot of stuff i havent heard before and wasn't feeling, but the soundsystem didn't really do him justice. Hatcha b2b with Skream was full of big tunes but the number of rewinds meant the set didn't have the continuity it could have had, but it was nevertheless still sick.
The pillheads and kids were annoying, but thats just a part of fabric. Dubstep seemed to be quite well received with most of the random punters/pillheads skanking away with most of the dubstep heads. The sound system proved adequate, but the bass didn't have the same physical effects as FWD. In fairness to fabric though it seemed they took the time to tune it, i've been to dnb and hiphop nights in room 2 where the sounds been shite.
Can't really comment on the barmaids, i'm more of a smoker personally.

ah yes.. the bar maid apprieciation thread :) she was fine! nice to meet you grand, I got a couple of snaps to send you, one with decibella I think. highlights for me -

- getting membership and missing the whole goddamn queue! best £6 i've spent since buying all of a sudden ;)
- skream droppin anti war dub and then midnight requestline.. with the blue light shining and people goin nuts for a minute I thought i was back at mass :)
- iration steppas were heavy, missed most of virus syndicate but it was worth it
- distance, great set but shame the place was empty cus of the riddiculous queue
- ah did i mention the eclairs and the bar maid...? :U:

low lights -

- aggy pilled up nippers lookin for trouble
- coats queue! 50 minutes!!! membership didn't mean shit on the way out :D
- 'got any pills?'
- 'is this drum and bass?'

was a great night and good to put faces to names from the forum! will post some pics soon

loved Hatcha & Skream, set of the night for me. Everyone else banged it too especially kode 9 & Plastician.

didnt like Virus syndicate though....whats that "wasted", "get wasted" thing about, seen them do that 3 times now, its shit!

RAGGERS queue. never seen it that bad at fabric. joined it at 9:30, got in around 1:30. straaaangely tho i wasn't too fussed. everyone was gettin stressed like carnival, but i was content. met some funny people, was mostly warm enough cos of the crush of human bodies...

was glad to get in tho, had to sit down after about an hour cos bein on my feet for 4 hours in the queue without a lot of movement tired my lickle legs, but skanked as much as i could manage.

out to the dubstep virgin i was with who was tolerant enough to queue for 4 hours for a type of music he was unfamiliar with, grand, krome 'who's grand?' star, heny, metalface-recognition-sophie, benga, benga's noises, farrah and zahra who i somehow managed to not see ALL night, lucky who i didn't even know was there... that's how much i managed to not see him all night.
