If I had to pick one and it be a current producer, I'd have to say Headhunter. Wouldn't say he is head and shoulders above other favorite producers but he makes tunes consistently that make me say wow that sounds fuckin great. A good combo of technical skill and being creative imo.

ooo thanks for that, that was quite tasty.

my favorites of all time are Loefah/Burial/Excision/Netsky, however i think Pixel Fist is one of the most underrated producers out there

So many on so many different levels...
Synaecide for geneal production value...
Burial for emotion...
Stenchman for originality...
Dayn for patch design (no asskiss, criticize if you want, he has some very in depth synths)
Vibrio for music theory (it was a close call between him, whyrez, n mad EP though, and I know the other two are on the baord, so gotta big em up...)
Deadly for technical perfectionism...
Pinch because plain out he wrote Qwalli VIP...
Dieselboy cause without him I wouldnt like much EDM...
abZ n RSK for holding dubstep down around Pittsburgh...
Synkro for grooviness...
And forsaken, because he is truly an AMAZING producer, and I cant help but feel like he fell to the wayside while even the less talented then he producers from Bristol around that time made it big... That, and he wrote Taiko riddim.

Out of all of them Synaecide.

rustie, darkstar, zomby, or loefah....they all have their own sound and top notch production.

honorable mentions: emalkay, 2562, scuba, reso (obviously), jamie vex'd........sorta pointless trying to narrow it down to just one innit!

martyn

too good. respect to all the producers who can create amazing tracks regardless of genre.
and broken is just too much. the way he opens it up and then pushes it back down right before the drop at the beginning gets me every single time.

Since its trendy... Im going to post one of Synaecides tunes, its free, as alot of his stuff is. Respect to anyone who can make music this spectacular and be as humble as he is. Good guy too, major contributor on IDMF... Not dubstep at all but truly amazing.

Soundcloud

Its a free track, from a free ep, like I said cool guy... tunes to amazing for words.

i think Silkie got the flag man! I mean obviously there are TONS of good producers but i don't know. When i listened to his album It was like AAAAARRRGHH! :z:

I'm more into not using midranges and stuff like that, it's all about the vibe and feel a track gives you!

Mark Pritchard is great also and really feeling Hyetal's music too.
