Logic Studio (Academic Version)

Post by rekluse » Sun May 09, 2010 4:53 am

I just purchased Logic Studio and it's an academic version. The person at the tech store told me it's exactly the same, with the exception of not being able to purchase an upgrade when Apple rolls out a newer version of Logic. I bought it at the college I work for, for half the price Logic Studio normally sells at ($250 vs. $499). I guess my question is, are there any hidden flaws in purchasing the academic version, other then not being able to pay for an upgrade?

Are you on about studio 9?

I brought the academic version and works fine.

If you're on a power pc instead of an intel though then updates no longer work.

So atm I'm stuck with the buggiest version of Logic and can't update because my mac won't support it :?
