Couldn't agree more. Pushing for an exclusive release of this tune, so keep your eyes on the blog.
As for those saying he's ripping of Zomby: you are wrong.

Re: People who like Zomby...
The other tune is cool but that one is a complete rip off of Zomby.

Re: People who like Zomby...
Zomby's influence is clear, but only shows through really blatantly on 'Smell U' (which isn't finished yet). His production is too varied to simply put it down as a Zomby rip-off. I think there's an important distinction between 'influenced by' and 'ripping-off'. Just my opinion.

Re: People who like Zomby...
yeah this guy is good, allthough as much as i dont wanna sound like a 'hater' or whatever.. the zomby influence is almost so strong that a couple of those tunes just sound like zomby tunes, but he'll develop his own style anyway, everyone is guilty of a bit of 'ripping off'

but but fair play on the quality of production
Re: People who like Zomby...
I'm not getting the Zomby "imitation" feel from it...
Just nice, bouncy, melodic music.
Good find.

Re: People who like Zomby...
That smell U track is more of a b'more/funky beat with some cold arpeggios riding on top, and it's a nice tune but not exactly what Zomby's on.
This is good stuff for a 20 year old full-time Uni student. Skills are clearly apparent and got to give credit where it's due. It's good to hear people taking the "road less traveled" approach to production, and if he carries on at this rate he'll soon have a definitive style of his own.
Soundcloud
You could equally say that this tune sounds like Deadboy or L-Vis 1990, but only as much as you could compare all three of them to a synth setting. What's important is using a good sound well. Nice to see that happening here, so big it up.

Hear hear Ed. You should get in touch with this lad and get him aired on Unity.ed teach wrote:That smell U track is more of a b'more/funky beat with some cold arpeggios riding on top, and it's a nice tune but not exactly what Zomby's on.

Re: People who like Zomby...
safe for the feedback guys. i do like zomby. you're right. the deal with the 8bit stuff is that i play classical piano and those hits are the closest thing i can find to imitating the sound of a piano whilst keeping it a bit more techy.
i didn't really realise that it was gonna get talked about so much tbh. i can stop posting my 8bit stuff if you like? or give it a rest with the airhorns?
