Wigflex aftermath

Post by Littlefoot » Sat Jun 05, 2010 1:28 pm

SO the biggest lineup ever for this forum possible, touched down in Notts last night.

Two rooms of great music, absolutely rammed, I had to cue for an hour! By the magic of the Blackberry I also managed to find out I was missing good sets as people on my FB were posting about it from inside (!?).

LOADS of Garage, like really really good garage from Deadboy, Joy Orbs and Floating Points. I actually heard Gabriel twice in different rooms, pretty much unheard of.

Not seen Stealth this busy apart from at Detonate, I really hope this continues and gets bigger and bigger as Wigflex slowly takes over the world!

Big up!

It was quite exciting to see what I imagine must have been 800+ people going nuts to underground house, techno and garage in Notts.

Big up Spam and Sean and co.

Exactly, still finding it quite hard to get my head around, just shows how all the twats who bang on about how you need tearout dubstep to get a crowd moving have no idea. The crowd were moving very very hard and to very melodic upbeat garage and house!

mount kimbie,

slightly disappointed with them if i'm honest. would go to see them again in maybe a year or so once they've nailed the live set down a bit more, just seemed like they were having a bad gig, still made me dig out maybes and sketch on glass today though.

Would definitely like to go to another wigflex at stealth.

I didn't like stealth when I was living in nottingham, was maybe just a bit sick of it... but its a pretty good club really, the sound system is definitely better than in any club i've been to in bristol.

rashad had to cancel cos immigration wouldn't let him in the country for some reason so girl unit, bok bok and lvis played a 2 hour, b2b juke set.

from what i've heard

i'm definately going to be reaching for the next wigflex. so glad its coming to manchester. apparently they're joining up with drum clinic in manc, and they've already put on terror danjah, zomby, shortstuff, el-b and jamie vex'd.

manchesters looking like the place to be :)
