Skream - Organic

Post by JimmaJamJamie » Fri Jun 11, 2010 11:47 am

This has to be one of my favourite Skream tracks. I am hoping that it is on the album but is just named something else.

Serious overlooked song!

Never heard this before weirdly enough, it's really, really good. Great album material rather than a single 12". The percussion is really fun.

I was thinking it was being mixed out of Higher, but the sample seems incredibly well timed. Possibly using the same sample, or it's some ableton/serato/whatever DJ tool trickery?

well the vocal is naked at the start of higher as well as the original tune so could be but then skream just uses vinyl as far as i know and who has it that uses ableton?

Yeah Higher is the tune it's being mixed out of and then it goes into Elephant Dub.

This is off Joe Nice - Gourmetbeats 6th B'Day and that is the only time i have ever heard it been played so i am not suprised that hardly anyone has heard it.

On Rinse he uses CDJ's just because of the amount of new music he gets but when playing live he uses his dubs.

Yeah definately mate. Ha yeah i use my mates Serato when he comes round to mix just because there are tunes on there that i wanna mix but don't have them on wax but that is the only time.

Its a shame that Breakage is on Serato now.

Vinyl is the best , you can't hold any other music format!

I saw him play out here in Belgium half a year ago. He used nothing else but CD's. And he didn't play that much new stuff.
