Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
what people who never heard halfstep dnb are renaming it like it's something new and groundbreakinggwa wrote:what is drumstep?
Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
it's basically dubstep faster but it's dope, it's got a different vibe, and crowds are wildin' out for it no matter how mad the internet is about it. the doa attitude is over.
Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
oh you are fucking joking, really?
it pissed me off when people call halfstep dnb 'autonomic'
urgh

the sound was around long before this term and before dubstep, just nowhere near as popular back then or prolific
Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
My thought exactly.... it's nothing new or special, their just trying to re-invent it.deadly habit wrote:funny i remember making and hearing stuff like this back when it was called drum and bass...

Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
aaaaaaanyway
coming from the perspective of an active club scene that involves every type of bass music going right now, drumstep is hitting real hard.

Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
no.. it is half step DnB, or 175bpm Dubstep. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI2b7qXUlnE is a good example as well as the tune I posted earlier.gwa wrote:is drumstep not related to the sound coming out autonomic, breakage, commix etc etc etc?
Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
this has been around for time, this is just drum n bass,
bare popular straighout d n b artists do it, hazard, original sin, taxman etc.. jst half step, some fat tunes though.

Re: Drumstep and Liquid Drumstep
sub genres are there just as descriptive terms. Someone says to you that so and so just made a new Drumstep tune, then you know what it is. Saying "Drumstep" is easier than saying half speed DnB or 175bpm Dubstep. no?deadly habit wrote:no just mad about stupid genre names and calling something established something newparson wrote:people on the dubstep forum mad about a bpm change. christ.
