Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes

Vintage fucking Glastonbury. That was my tenth and definitely up there with the best.

Weather was awesome... spent a lot of time enjoying shadey Dub in the Glade. Managed to catch all of Kode9 who was supposed to be on at the same time as Stevie Wonder and still make it over in time for the last 5 singalong tunes. Caught The Orb outdoors in the middle of a neon mockup of Stone Henge.... gorgeous.

Shakira is a fucking goddess.

Snoop was fun.

Willie Nelson very nearly made me cry in front of grown men.

The new Block 9 area is the fucking SHIT. There's a block of flats with a tube train crashed through it and an underground club.... Ray Keith played in there on the Friday.

Thai place near the Pyramid does AMAZING food. Also, the Spanish near there... seafood paella, fuckin a. Addlestones cider on tap in The Park... YES.

And we saw people doing the Wall of Death on motorbikes.

Glastonbury is the fucking shit again.

@magma

to be honest mate that sounds a lot like my weekend!

my 9th year at glasto, been going since i was 6 and it's weird as fuck each year, seeing what i grew up with and remembering my childhood. Glasto's a deeeep time for me

but yeah, i suffered pretty badly from the heat.. so i just wandered over to the glade stage and ended up stayin there for quite a while.. not just for the dubstep but i quite liked the vibe when the world music was on.. dead nice and chilled.

unfortunately, i was with my Mrs. and her friends.. so i had to go and see Jack Johnson and other boring pop dribble.

yeah Block 9 was amazing. Did anybody catch the radio one rave at Shang Ri La on Friday night? i've been told i missed out!

Haha, I was with my lady who's about as unraver as you get and had to do the same stuff (managed to avoid Jack Johnson... had to watch Imogen Heap and a bit of Florence and the Machine though - SHIT) . Luckily, had my brother and a couple of mates along too and Amy was apparently happy enough to go back to the tent on her own when we fucked off raving... überwin.

Didn't catch that Friday night though, I expect I was doing something else fucking great at the time though...

I could do another couple of days, tbh. They should make it week long like Roskilde.... there's just too much awesome to be had in 5 days... there's still stuff I haven't seen in 10 fucking years.

Oh, and best graffiti... some hippy marker pen stuff in a toilet about how we're all slaves to the system and how we're all just numbers, then a reply from another hippy saying the same stuff, ending with "use your magic marker to inspire people away from the machine"........
.....underneath someone had written "SHANK YOUR NAN"

Sorry man, I always forget... too busy dancing and skinning up. They were great... I saw them close the Bangface Weekender this year and thought they weren't really as good as I'd hoped, but I went along and they were amazing. Perfect setting too... one of the best bits of the weekend.

mate, florence and the machine were a godsend compared to the shit that she took me to! dunno if i could bare imogen heap though..

you're completely right about being able to do a couple of days more as well.. the past years for me seem to have been just right.. i loved it but i was exhausted.. this year just flew by!
it's a shame, if it were a bit longer then maybe i'd have seen those illuminati hippy guys!! mental bastards..

Wow, fucking amazing time!
Bangface at the Glade Lounge on Friday night was probably my highlight, Remarc killed it!
Shangri-La, Arcadia, Unfairground and Block 9 were sick as always.
I loved Snoop, such an OG.
Wow! stage on Sunday was really good, shame that more people didn't show up.
Good to meet Magma and C++, shame there wasn't a larger ninja meet though.

Only bad points were the heat in the mornings, lack of sleep and getting sun cream in my eye and having to go to the medical tent to get it washed out

ALSO, The Beat!!!!! Did anyone else see them at Croissant Neuf? They were absolutely amazing!

Yeah, good to see you on Sunday mate. Hyperdub was awesome.... I was enjoying my combination of having an excuse to sit down occasionally and being able to leg it into a pretty sparse crowd when a great tune dropped. Great Sunday vibes!

Almost forgot about Bonobo. Amazing live show.
And the Jerry Dammer Spatial Orchestra playing Sun Ra all dressed in egyptian costumes, which ended with the whole arkestra proceeding through the crowd chanting 'Space is the Place'.
Then I had a peng Goan Curry by the West Holts Stage. 8)

It was the only meal I bought at the whole festival, and boy was it worth the £7!

Was it me or were there way too many security guards at the Wow! stage on Sunday? Fucking puts me off when there are 10 bored slouched security guards staring at you when you are skanking.

Yeah, but they were actually pretty sound. One asked me to stop smoking my joint inside which is fair enough, I suppose. Didn't see any bad security any weekend, but then I was only smoking... way calmer than the year I ended up in a cell in Shepton Mallet.

Its not that they weren't safe, its that they looked so bored and it really put me off.

What did you do to end up in shepton mallet?

Yeah caught Emalkay at WoW and was just chilling in the tent, and there were about 10 security/fire marshalls slouched all about with screwfaces. They werent overly fussy just didnt like people smoking in the tent.

Radio 1 at The Hub was pretty sick, however was maybe a bit too busy and MC Rage kept asking for mosh pits.....which aint for me when im raving. Had the longest walk back to our tent after that tho. Block 9 etc are kinda freaky when your trying to get out of there on the way home. We did spend 20mins watching people get freaked out by this wheely bin that opened up when people walked past it. funny shit.

Yeah the sun was nice, but its not bout sweating it out in your tent at 9am. Sometimes you just want to be able to sleep a hangover off! The Addelstones in Bimbles was awesome tho, and the Jerk Chicken and this one place was awesome.....just cant remember where it was.

Caught last 20mins of Magnetic Man after Stevie Wonder, but again it was pretty empty in there. Went to WoW after to see some old skool hardcore/jungle set.......then Ratpack who were actually pretty good. Highlights for me were Skream, Editors, Snoop Dogg, Two Door Cinema Club (Queens Heads stage) and Stevie Wonder. Gorillaz were soooooo disappointing.

They were. I didn't like any of their new tunes. The whole world intermission went on for far too long and after that the crowd needed some hypeness and classic old tunes, not that boring one with the chinese lady.
Still, Dare, Feel good and Clint Eastwood weren't bad apart from Snoop not rapping the proper words? What was that about!

We had left before Snoop came on to get over to shangrila. Why did he not come on for the intro tho?? Kano, Bashy & Mark Ryder were highlights of that set for me. Damon Alburn is a musical genius, but that set really didnt translate.
