Soundcloud

still needs lots of mixdown/EQ work, more FX and lots more variation to drum pattern, as well as little flourishes here and there.. but this is the jist so far

@Imperial - really liking that, has an unusual approach with a nice collection of sounds goin on in there, nice eastern vibe in there.

I had a track on the go but basically restarted it all last night as i couldnt push forward with what i previously done over the past 2 weeks.

have a listen to this new bit, feedback would be greatly appeciated as it's my first real attempt at Dubstep.

Soundcloud

nice one..

@Imperial valley of the kings, that is wicked mate, loving the bass in it, maybe needs some sub along with it at times, loving the melodies in it very eastern sounding, reckon you easily to anti climax where it ends, then have a pad and some strings like you'e got have a riser and drop back into the main bass section.

@oscar nice drums, nice tracks decent progression, like it when it drops out and builds back up but reckon you could build more tension before you drop it back it, like use a riser or pitch sweep or something to signify wats comeing next and to give it more of an impact, but nice one overall :)

@tipo nice sounds, decent mix down, cool mix of styles, I like turtles as well, wierd sample! kinda reminds me of that bassline style, maybe fatten up the synth sounds by compressing and stuff :) Think it could use a few more synth sounds and more progression during the sections as it's kinda static at times :) But nice one :)

@narrator sweet sounds proppa fat mate, all the sounds are there just need to make a progression for it as it's a bit short, but sounds really good mate :)

Here's my latest dubby thing:

Feedback appreciated :)

Cheers for the feedback man. i just worked out a bit of an arrangement. time to do a bit of brainstorming.

really liking yours too, has a nice Tipper type feel off it, nice use of sounds, really fluid sounding overall.
do you resample your sounds much to achieve what you want or do you mostly work with midi??

Hey guys :D I'm pretty new to this but feedback would be greatly appreciated, obviously this tune isn't finished but I need heavy criticism to let me know what's wrong (a lot of people are too nice and will nod and say it sounds cool even if its a pile of steaming shit)

Any and all feedback will be returned :D

Cheers

Hey cheers for listening, yeah just been getting into resampling more, just bounce bass/mid sections over again after compressing and then do it again, think I need to do a better mixdown, and get some more perc going and maybe do another drop twards the end, but yeah resample effect do it again, it's only cause i went to a dub festival recently some stupidly fat tunes, bass so loud it rumbled in your chest and resonated you, it was insane!

@united fruits, hey it's good some good sounds going on in here, reckon it could do with more compression on the bass and a bit more sub all compressed to fuck, and fatten up the drums maybe do some parallel compression on them and get some more shit going, but it's a good sound especially if your new to this, carry on going mate :) You're only gonna get better innit :)

Easy

@Imperial: Definitely would like to hear more low end here ie. sub, and bring the drums to the front a bit, the wobble seems to overpower the kit.

@Oscarhenson: Lovely synths here, great progression, definitely need to EQ a bit here and there, really would like to see the end result, cheers.

@Narator: Coming along quite well here, solid wobbles, kick though needs some work, seems to cut out on some of the frequencies.

This is a new track I've been on about for the last month, soundcloud seems to take off too many db/compress when I export in .wav format :(

Feedback is most appreciated, cheers.

@Haack, propa nice dark sound you've got going there mate, liking the reverb on th perc sounds really good, sub is sweet, and all the other modulations sound quality decent progression, wouldn't mind another build up and drop at the end to tie everything off, but it's propa sweet what you've got going there already :)

@ HAACK - nice work goin on there. nice atmospheric soundscape with loads goin on in there too. really well built up together too..

Thanks for the feedback too HAACK, yeah there's alot of mixing work to be done at the moment. havent touched the drums yet with any sort of processing. trying to save all my RAM for basslines, heh.

Yeah I got a few ideas mate, I reckon you should do at build up starting around 1.19 instaed of fading out build up and drop, get some rising white noise of something or a reverse cymbal or a pitch sweep or something, then drop back into the main chorus, maybe addapt some os the bass lines innit, and compress the whole lot od your wobbles a shit load, just do it over and over again!

This is what i've been making tonight:
