Bringing the soul back to house and techno, Motor City Drum Ensemble hails from Stuttgart. MCDE - Danilo Plessow - takes influence from soul, disco and Detroit/Chicago house, to bring a warm and well rounded loungin' sound.
His “Raw Cuts” series created a deep house star. The recent 'Fresh Noodles' release on 'Prime Numbers' as well as remix duty for Tiga, Art of Tones , Steve Bug and DJ T are a clear continuation of Danilo's immense prowess.

This guy couldn't be better suited to Wigflex. Pushing a blend of colourful techno and quirky dubstep that blurs all those familiar lines, both on production and label endeavours. Recent releases on Honest Jon's, NonPlus, and a remix for Joy Orbision cement enourmous respect from all areas of the industry. We need say no more.

Really pleased to welcome this Hyperdub pairing of man and machine (though we aren't sure which is which!). Having killed it in Nottingham for us this March, we couldn't wait to have Darkstar back. Good enough for Kode 9 and Thom Yorke is definitely good enough for Wigflex!
